Strengths and Weaknesses[]

Strengths[]

Flame Chains, his Green Skill, is a very reliable crowd control skill, which can interrupt opponents and lock them in place.
Flame Shield, his Blue Skill, grants him a powerful barrier which, despite the tooltip, also blocks physical damage, allowing Xun to survive in battle for a long period of time.
Blazing Blade, his Purple Skill, deals massive area damage, and will always be automatically used after Flame Remnant's counter is trigger. This skill can also "cure" Xun from crowd control skills from opponents, such as slow, if it has been applied before he uses Blazing Blade.
Flame Remnant, his Ultimate Skill, can easily turn the tide of battle, allowing Xun to resist damage that otherwise would kill him and launch explosions that deal massive damage. As he teleports behind opponents after the final hit, this skill can allow to serve as diversion from the main party. The counter can be used even if Xun is stunned or silenced.
- Additionally, multiple remnants can be stacked if his Energy builds again before he unleashes the attack, thus resulting in more explosions. The remnants stay for the entire battle, having no expire time, only exploding when Xun reaches critical state.

Weaknesses[]

Considerably low HP.
Flame Remnant can only trigger the explosions when Xun received fatal damage, being otherwise useless (although using the skill causes minor damage and can even interrupt opponents).
Ember Blade only becomes really powerful endgame, being very weak before reaching Purple Evolution and higher levels (over 50).

Overall Rating: Campaign (8/10), Arena (10/10), Crusade (8/10)

Notable Counters: Heroes with high attack damage (thus forcing him to use him Ultimate Skill more often), Heroes with some Crowd Control Skills (as he can negate some of them with Blazing Blade), Heroes with low healthpool.

Countered by: Heroes with repeated damage, such as Fallen Dominion and Cloud Walker, and Heroes who can inflict high stun, thus preventing him from summoning his Remnants.

Good Synergy: Vanguard Warrior, War Chief, Death Knight, Commando, Lunar Guardian, Shadowleaf, Arcane Sapper, Cloud Walker, Fallen Dominion, Iron Hoof, Swordmaster.

Recommended Evolution: 4 or 5 Stars.

Trivia[]

Xun's Ultimate Skill, Flame Remnant, has a wrong tooltip; it actually triggers when he is about to be killed, negating damage that would be fatal to use his skill as last resource.
This hero is based on the DOTA 2's Ember Spirit.
